1. PM Narendra Modi inaugurates a two-day National Legislators Conference at the Central Hall of Parliament House.
- The conference aims at providing a platform to Members of Parliament, Legislative Assemblies and Legislative Councils across the country to share their experiences and to develop a perspective on developmental issues in the light of sustainable development goals.
- The theme of the two-day conference is “We For Development”.

2. Cricketer Virat Kohli Named first Brand Ambassador for Uber India.
- Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has been named cab-hailing startup Uber’s first Brand Ambassador in India.

3. President of France, Emmanuel Macron and Mrs. Brigitte Macron received by President Ram Nath Kovind and PM Narendra Modi on his first State visit to India.
- PM Narendra Modi holds delegation level talks with French President EmmanuelMacron at Hyderabad House in New Delhi.
- The two countries are expected to boost ties, especially in the areas of maritime security and counter-terrorism. At least 10 pacts are expected to be signed. New Delhi and Paris will work on renewing and updating the confidentiality agreement in a bid to maintain secrecy on India’s deal to buy Rafale fighter aircraft.

4. Central Industrial Security Force(CISF) is celebrating its 49th Raising Day in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad.
- Union Home Affairs minister Rajnath Singh released the CISF “Coffee Table Book” on the occasion of CISF49thRaisingDay.
- He also presented police medals to CISF personnel in appreciation of their outstanding services in various fields.
- The CISF also decided to offer security consultancy to five-star hotels so that they can be prepared to deal with 26/11 type terror attacks.

5. Prakriti to be first Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) woman combat officer.
- 25-year-old Prakriti has been inducted as the first direct-entry combat officer in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police.
- The ITBP is the last of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) to induct women officers in combat roles after the government first allowed it to enroll them in 2016.

6. The government makes providing passport details mandatory for taking loans of Rs. 50 cr & above to ensure swift action in case of fraud & prevent fraudsters from fleeing the country.
- Passport details will help banks to take timely action and inform the relevant authorities to prevent fraudsters from fleeing the country.
- In absence of passport details, banks were hamstrung in taking timely action to prevent defaulters, especially wilful one from fleeing the country.
7. President Ram Nath Kovind to embark on a two-nation visit to Mauritius and Madagascar.
- President Ram Nath Kovind will embark on a six-day visit to the island nations of Madagascar and Mauritius in the Indian Ocean, a region vital to India’s strategic interests.
- Mr. Kovind will be the chief guest at the celebrations commemorating the 50th year of the independence of Mauritius.

8. Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Philippines National Defence Secretary Delfin N Lorenzana hold wide-ranging talks in New Delhi to strengthen bilateral defense and security cooperation.
- The two countries had signed an agreement to step up cooperation in the defense sector during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Philippines in November last year.
- Defense Minister of Mongolia Enkhbold Nyamaa also met Sitharaman. The two ministers also explored ways to boost bilateral defense cooperation.

9. Former Maharashtra minister Patangrao Kadam passes away at 72.
- Mr. Kadam joined the Congress and was elected to the state Assembly four times from Palus-Kadegaon constituency in western India. Kadam also founded Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, an educational empire which is spread across the state.
- He held key portfolios such as cooperation and forest in the Congress-NCP government. The late leader also served as chairman of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC).

10. Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena to reach New Delhi on a 2-day official visit to India.
- President Sirisena visit is at the joint invitation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and French President Emanuel Macron to participate at the First Conference of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Founding Members, being held in New Delhi.

11. Mauritius President Ameenah Gurib-Fakim to resign over financial scandal claims.
- Mauritian President Ameenah Gurib-Fakim is to resign after becoming embroiled in a financial scandal, Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth announced.
- Ms. Gurib-Fakim, who is the only woman head of state in Africa, has been accused of using a bank card provided by an NGO to make personal purchases and will step down after ceremonies to mark the 50th anniversary of independence on March 12.
